Graduates who complete the programme of study have acquired the learning outcomes specified in Resolution No. 34/III/2012 adopted by the Senate of the Jagiellonian University on 28th March 2012 on the introduction of learning outcomes for particular fields of study conducted at the Jagiellonian University as of the 2012/2013 academic year, with later amendments. Graduates hold the following qualifications as regards knowledge, skills, and social competences: KNOWLEDGE - knows the notion of theatre and drama tradition and understands references to these traditions in modern theatre and drama writing; understands differences between various codes of cultures and their complementary character - knows the terminology and the most important theories of performance and performativity, has some knowledge of past and present performative and show traditions - is well acquainted with contemporary drama writing, with fine arts related to theatre (painting, sculpture, architecture, music) and with the problems of contemporary trends in culture; he has some knowledge in the scope and direction of transformations under way - knows various institutions related to theatre life (theatres, societies, journals, festivals, etc.); knows contemporary research findings in the field of theatre and drama writing; knows and understands the basic principles of copyright laws and protection of intellectual property in the field of art and art studies - knows critical works of outstanding interpreters and critics of theatre and drama , understands the differences in their languages and approaches; knows theories of performative mechanisms of creating individual and collective identity and cultural memory; understands performative mechanisms of history creation - is well-acquainted with the problems of theatre and new media techniques; knows the most important trends and offerings of the contemporary humanities, in the world and in Poland - knows terminology related theatre studies and related fields on an advanced level; knows methodology of performance art studies; knows contemporary methodologies in the humanities; understands the differences between languages and categories used by respective schools SKILLS - has developed their own sensitivity to selected art disciplines and their most interesting trends; is able to integrate various domains of culture in their reflection and statements on broadly understood theatre art.; is able to identify and examine performativity of processes taking place in social and individual life; is able to use knowledge of performative studies to interpret them - is able to use knowledge of the history of drama and theatre to interprete contemporary performances and drama texts; is able to identify and examine strategies used in various types of contemporary theatre art - is able to use a selected foreign language on the B2+ level (as set by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), is able to prepare a written and an oral text in the selected language; is able to independently translate academic and artistic texts - is able to search for information, collect bibliographical data related to their subject or issue of choice, knows how to explore available Internet resources (performance recordings, documentary materials, dramatic and other text accessible online in digital libraries and elsewhere) - is able to prepare an outline of a longer written or oral text on a given discipline of theatre knowledge, also is able to independently write (under the guidance of their supervisor MA thesis on a chosen subject, knows how to adjust the form and style of their text to the chosen subject and approach - is able to describe various styles of stage directing, staging and acting, is critically minded and expresses their views on a given artistic phenomenon prudently and responsibly; is able to argue convincingly, producing conclusions and synthetic summaries - has basic skills related to organizing cultural events and artistic workshops - knows how to independently develop their own knowledge and research skills and to broaden their competences in theatre and performativestudies and - Potrafi samodzielnie rozwijać własną wiedzę i umiejętności badawcze oraz poszerzać kompetencje w zakresie teatrologii i per formatyki. SOCIAL COMPETENCES - demonstrates talents and inventiveness in organization work related to various theatre events (festivals, meetings, amateur initiatives, creative workshops, etc) - knows how to work independently and makes an effort of improves their own skills acquired in the process of education - is ready to collaborate with institutions propagating theatre culture, participates in initiatives aimed at preserving Polish cultural heritage, especially of a non-material character - is interested in current issues in theatre and related arts and in the processes involving performative mechanism and pays attention to important, valuable and controversial trends and events in contemporary culture - is interested in non-artistic aspects of theatre art, its social, political and therapeutic impact; is an aactive participant in the processes of cultural exchange and social change, specifically concerning mass and individual identity - is able to form independent views, knows how to convincingly present and justify them without infringing on the right of others to have their own views, is able to lead a discussion and to actively participate in it
