Graduates who complete the programme of study have acquired the learning outcomes specified in Resolution No. 1/I/2014 adopted by the Senate of the Jagiellonian University on 29 January 2014 on the introduction of learning outcomes for particular fields of study conducted at the Jagiellonian University as of the 2014/2015 academic year, with later amendments. Graduates hold the following qualifications as regards knowledge, skills, and social competences: KNOWLEDGE knowledge of basic terminology regarding Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as basic knowledge of the character and significance of Humanities and Social Sciences, and their subjective and methodological specificity a basic knowledge of a human being, particularly as a subject constituting social structures and rules of their operation, as well as operating in such structures, particularly of supranational scope a basic knowledge of civilisational development of societies, involving the following aspects of such development: historical, economic, political, social and cultural ones a basic knowledge of institutions of culture, as well as their operation in an intercultural context knowledge of methods and instruments which enable acquiring and analysing data, as well as interpreting culture products, thanks to which intercultural relations may be described awareness of the complex nature of intercultural relations, as well as their historical variability a well-ordered knowledge of ethical rules and norms, as well as intellectual property protection and copyright law a specialist knowledge regarding intercultural relations SKILLS ability to observe and interpret social and cultural phenomena, particularly ability to notice their determinants: linguistic, religious, political and economic ones ability to acquire knowledge, develop his/her skills, as well as analyse specific issues, applying various sources of information elementary research skills which enable analysing research outcomes, as well as developing and performing basic research processes within the scope of intercultural relations; ability to develop conclusions which come from a research, prepare and present their results (with the appliance of ICT), as well as indicate further research directions ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a precise and coherent way (in a native language, as well as a foreign language on the level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), with the appliance of multimedia techniques and modern technologies (ICT), on topics regarding selected issues of intercultural relations, applying arguments characteristic of various theoretic perspectives and referring to various authors SOCIAL COMPETENCES comprehension of the need of constant professional as well as personal development, ability to assess his/her competences and improve skills, a graduate specifies directions of his/her development and education a graduate is prepared to active participation in groups, organisations and institutions which operate within the scope of culture awareness of responsibility for preservation of cultural heritage of a region, a country, Europe and the world a graduate participates in a cultural and social life in an intercultural sphere, applying various media (including those of supranational range) ability to think and act in an entrepreneurial way, acting in a role of moderator, animator and consultant in the international cooperation within the sphere of culture a graduate responsibly prepares himself/herself to work, ability to prepare and perform actions, comprehending the need of constant education, as well as monitoring labour market, environment, etc. awareness of the significance of acting in a professional way, significance of reflection concerning ethical issues, as well as observance of professional ethics rules
